26 October 2020 – Digalox® measuring instruments now available with a Modbus interface

The Digalox range of measuring instruments, developed by TDE Instruments GmbH and manufactured in Germany® is now also available with a Modbus interface.

The RS485 Modbus protocol, developed more than 40 years ago, is and remains an extremely widely used standard for industrial communication. That is why we have developed our Digalox®-Models are equipped with a Modbus RTU interface. This ensures both the transmission of all measured values and the display of values from remote devices. The new device variants are primarily suitable for monitoring machine and operational data and are particularly well-suited for retrofitting, as the RS485 Modbus protocol allows them to be easily integrated into existing systems and, thanks to flexibly configurable Modbus parameters, they can communicate seamlessly with devices from other manufacturers. This enables existing machinery to be brought up to the latest technical standards.

The new Modbus measurement units for DIN rail mounting serve as a source of measurement data for Digalox®-Displays or processing devices from other manufacturers. They can be mounted either directly onto DIN rails or, using the appropriate holes in the housing, onto other surfaces.

The DPM72 units, which feature a display and a Modbus interface, can both transmit the measured values and display a total of four parameters from remote devices on the display.

The devices are configured as usual using the Digalox software, which is provided free of charge®-Manager.
