The instrument supports AC/DC voltage, AC/DC current and frequency measurements. During operation, you can switch between four measurement modes using a switch contact. The current measurement value can be frozen using a switch (hold function). Minimum and maximum values are recorded. These can be displayed using a switch and reset by changing the measurement mode or restarting the device. The backlight can be switched on or off using a switch.

A programming menu, accessible via a jumper, allows further settings to be configured. The full scale range of the bar graph can be programmed for each measurement mode. The measurement type can be changed for each measurement mode. In addition, a scaling factor can be selected for each measurement mode. For battery operation, the supply voltage is monitored; if it falls below a settable threshold value, a warning message appears on the display. The device can be reset to its factory settings.

The measured values, together with minimum and maximum values, can be transmitted continuously via the UART interface or via the optionally available USB card. Furthermore, additional settings can be configured via interface commands, such as selecting the symbols to be displayed.
